The last time their top scorer failed to hit double figures was in 2004-05 when Milan Baros scored nine times. |

Here is the current rundown on the European positions going into Championship Sunday; at present, the Europa League places (5th-6th plus) are still up for grabs....a few possible scenarios: ...for Liverpool (5th, 62 pts, +9) -If Liverpool win, they will finish 5th -If Liverpool draw, they will finish 5th IF BOTH Tottenham & Southampton drop points -If Liverpool lose, they could still finish 5th IF BOTH Tottenham & Southampton drop points ...for Tottenham (6th, 61 pts, +4) -If Spurs win, they will finish ahead of Southampton and could leapfrog Liverpool for 5th IF Liverpool drop points -If Spurs draw, they will finish 6th IF Southampton drop points -If Spurs lose, they could still finish 6th IF Southampton lose ....for Southampton (7th, 60 pts, +23) -If Southampton win, they will finish 6th IF Spurs drop points; IF BOTH Spurs & Liverpool drop points, Southampton could finish 5th on goal differential vs. Liverpool -If Southampton draw, they could finish 6th IF Spurs lose -If Southampton lose, they will finish 7th and would need Arsenal to win the FA Cup on May 30th in order to compete in the Europa League for 2015-2016* * - currently only 5th & 6th are guaranteed Europa League positions along with whoever receives the Fair Play Berth (at present, West Ham are in the lead for that spot); if Arsenal win the FA Cup Final next week, 7th place also gets a Europa League berth; if Aston Villa win, they would get the Europa League berth given to the FA Cup winner |
